The team at Stages Hair Design, has been reviewing the Miss Bristol 2014 event we recently organise and which saw Naomi Dunbar being crowned.

It was a fabulous evening, with more than 160 people attending the plush event at the Winchester Suite in Bristol’s Grand Hotel.

There were 18 finalists and standards were particularly high – the top five girls were only separated by 8 marks, and the evening saw three re-counts from the judging panel!

Naomi Dunbar, a 19-year-old estate agent from Wotton-Under-Edge was crowned as Miss Bristol 2014, whilst Natalie Franklin from Portishead won the Miss Popularity award by a single vote.

The evening was enhanced by a series of themed hair shows, created with fantastic work from top hairdressers in Bristol, with outstanding quality.

The charity raffle for Gloucester Cricket Club also raised £650, and we’d like to thank the Museum & Learning Centre for their hard work.

The Stages Hair Design team of stylists thoroughly enjoyed it, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to those who attended, competed, and helped to make it such a memorable Miss Bristol event. Here’s to many more!

At Stages Hair Design, we’re celebrating this week, after being asked by the management team at Miss England to help in the hunt for Miss Bristol for the 2014 competition.

We were previously involved in the Miss Bristol 2010, and were hair stylists for the winner at the time, Amy Willerton, of recent ‘I’m a celebrity, Get me out of here’ fame.

The Miss Bristol 2014 competition will also include a regional hair show involving Bristol hair salons, and the main event will be held at the stunning ballroom of the Grand Hotel on Sunday 23rd March, 2014, where the current Miss England will be amongst the judging panel for this prestigious event.

We’re delighted to be once again involved with Miss Bristol, and thoroughly enjoyed the 2010 competition – especially delivering show-stopping hairstyling for Amy and other models.

The 2014 competition is also being supported by the GCCC Museum & Learning Centre charity.

If you’re aged 17-24 and live in a BS postcode, you could be in the running to be the next Miss Bristol! Simply visit here to find out more details.
